Bikes
Classified as one of the first modes of transportation dating back to the early 19th century, The Miami Auto Museum at the Dezer Collection features an extensive array of bicycles in its “World of Bikes” exhibition. Originating in Europe, the world’s first bicycle was developed in Mannheim, Germany and the term ‘bicycle’ was coined by the French in the 1860s. Among the early examples of bicycles were the Draisine, the Velocipede, The High Wheel Bicycle, The Hard-Tired Safety and The Kid’s Bike. The Miami Auto Museum at the Dezer Collection’s “World of Bikes” exhibition features over 200 one-of-a-kind bicycle models such as:
